Leonard Fournette knows what it is like to be the victim of a flood. He was born and raised in New Orleans and lived through Hurricane Katrina.
Fournette read a prepared statement that says he is planning on auctioning off his jersey for South Carolina flood victims after the LSU game versus South Carolina held in Baton Rouge.
It is a nice gesture, but it was uncertain whether or not Fournette, who is an amateur and does not get paid, would be allowed to auction his jersey for money.
LSU believed that he would be within the rules because he is not going to profit. The NCAA tonight stepped in and settled the issue saying Fournette is allowed to help the victims in South Carolina with the auction of his jersey.
For one day the NCAA got something right.
Leonard Fournette can auction his jersey for SC flood victims.
